Total RNA Maxi Kit (Blood/Cultured Cell)
The Total RNA Maxi Kit (Blood/Cultured Cell) is a RNA Isolation Kit designed for total RNA purification from fresh whole human blood and cultured cells using an efficient maxiprep system. This RNA Kit uses detergents and chaotropic salt to lyse cells and inactivate RNase. The RNA in the chaotropic salt is bound by the glass fiber matrix of the RNA spin column. Once any contaminants have been removed, using the Wash Buffer (containing ethanol), the purified total RNA is eluted by RNase-free Water. Phenol extraction or alcohol precipitation is not required and the procedure can be completed within 1 hour. The purified RNA is ready for use in a variety of subsequent reactions such as RT-PCR, Northern Blotting, Primer Extension and cDNA Library Construction.

Quality Control
The quality of the Total RNA Maxi Kit (Blood/Cultured Cell) is tested on a lot-to-lot basis according to Geneaid's ISO-certified quality management system. RNA from fresh whole blood and cultured cell samples are purified using the Total RNA Maxi Kit (Blood/Cultured Cell). The Purified RNA is quantified with a spectrophotometer and checked by electrophoresis.
