This magnetic bead genomic DNA purification kit was designed specifically for genomic DNA isolation from blood. Its unique buffer system will efficiently lyse cells and degrade protein, allowing for nucleic acid to be easily bound by the surface of the magnetic beads. RNA and other non-specific binding particles are removed with a Wash Buffer, and the genomic DNA is then released into the Release Buffer. Genomic DNA can be purified manually within 15 minutes (using most magnetic separators) or the kit can be easily adapted to satisfy most automated nucleic acid purification systems. |

Genomic DNA was isolated from 200 µl of whole blood and then eluted using 200 µl of Release Buffer. 10 µl of the sample was loaded to a 1% agarose gel.
SYBR qPCR Assay
A Multiplex assay using 1 µl of purified DNA was used to amplify
multiple beta-globin DNA fragments. The genomic DNA, used here
for each assay, was determined by a separate SYBR qPCR assay
to contain approximately 1 ng (1,000 copies).
